This weekend, the folks at F Nice Records partied it up at McGanns Pub (197 Portland st.) and can't wait for more. Saturday we rolled up in full force with a bunch of F Nice fans and enjoyed the musical stylings of F Nice favorites Pray For Polanski, Kick Drum, and Cars On Mars. All three of these bands played with a fire that got everyone off their seats and on to the dance floor. There was even a good amount of people strolling in off the streets, as if called in by the pied piper. Despite how late it got, the whole crowd demanded more music from the bands, but sadly we had to go home.
Sunday night, though a little calmer, was still extremely fun. Mary's Ghost started off with an excellent set. Then the Turkeys came on stage. Even with a light crowd, the Turkeys screamed and thrashed their hearts out. I was tempted to start a mosh pit by myself, even though I am sure the band would have joined in.
