Kicking things off was Sweet Irony, a rock band hailing from Boston, and they wasted no time in setting the tone for the night: rocking the crowds' face off. Their set included a cover of “Roxanne”, need we say more? Check out Sweet Irony on facebook and myspace.
Deadfish was second on the bill, and mellowed every one out a little. Deadfish's sound is influenced by Sublime, however they bring their “east coast attitude” to their tunes. They self describe their music as “melodic and upbeat” and we couldn't describe it any better. Deadfish can be found on facebook, and on Reverb Nation.

Moniker is an alternative indie rock band, that has a sound described as "ethereal sonic story-telling; with U2's rhythms, Radiohead-like melodies, Pink Floyd sensibilities, and a necessary dose of irony." The writer doesn't exactly know what “Pink Floyd sensibilities” means, but she does know that the crowd was digging it as much as she was. “Like” Moniker on facebook, or add them as a friend on myspace.
Finishing us off, was Oilhead. Oilhead was good. Energetic. It was lovely to see a lady rock out like that. Lead singer, Britty Glitter, is a petite and fiery woman and held her own amongst the rest of the talented band (girl power, yay!). Perfect way to end the evening. You can find Oilhead on facebook and myspace.
